All posts benefit from a mentoring programme within the GoverNat network, which will support the career development of the candidate. The main elements of this mentoring programme are
- the development and implementation of personal career development plans
- guidance through a personal scientific committee
The GoverNat training programme includes
- schools,
- workshops,
- courses on complementary skills,
- a final conference, and
- virtual seminars.
Roles for experienced and early-stage researchers differ in these training measures.
Researchers will also be trained to work with non-research institutions, through
- internships at committed praxis affiliates, focussing on case studies related to their research
- the formulation of policy briefs, and
- the responsibility for national level dissemination.
