The network-wide training beyond research mainly taking place in the workshops is reinforced by three individual elements:
- several short internships in a committed praxis partner,
- the responsibility for national level dissemination, and
- through the formulation of policy briefs.
Doctoral fellows will make several visits to stakeholders and practitioner institutions related to their own case study. This will provide for a more profound understanding of the decision-making context and the processes that GoverNat seeks to improve. In each country, the early-stage fellow(s) will elaborate a national dissemination strategy with the help of an experienced researcher or a researcher employed at their host institute. This might comprise information packages such as the translation of summarised policy briefs, consultations and interviews and the organisation of a small workshop. Formulating research results in common policy briefs in a network-wide task for WPs 1-3 will train the fellows for formulating their own results of the specific case study undertaken in WP 4 in case-specific policy-briefs. Such training is essential for a successful national dissemination strategy.
